Antalya International Airport International Flights Terminal

Description
Constructed in a record duration of 11.5 months and commissioned in April 2005 under the State Airports Authority (DHMİ), Antalya International Airport International Terminal 2 (T2) is a key aviation hub designed by Tekeli-Sisa Architects to handle 8 million passengers annually. Featuring a distinctive translucent tensile Teflon membrane roof and a re-engineered layout that relocated landside baggage handling to a dedicated basement floor, the expansion significantly increased passenger lounge and departure capacity. The mechanical contracting scope delivered full engineering, procurement, equipment supply, and installation for the terminal building and all auxiliary facilities. Technical execution encompassed high-capacity central HVAC and air handling plants engineered for heavy Mediterranean seasonal heat loads, complete domestic water and sanitary plumbing networks, terminal-wide automatic fire detection and sprinkler protection systems, and an integrated Building Management System (BMS) for centralized climate and energy control.
